@ton.yeung Well besides the community differences and production values, I should be able to adapt quickly to RoR when familiar with PHP/.NET MVC/NodeJS, or does it do things... weirdly?
@RoelvanUden It's like VS ASP MVC. It follows convention and thus uses scaffolding to generate shiz. Model maps to Active Record ORM. But personally I just couldn't get into it.

@rlemon Lol, I love my pokemons even though I am older. Its just a big deal that today seems to be revolving around age since the Company that deals with Pokemon released some new images of an older ash (He spent 16 years being 10 - 11 years old)
@BenjaminGruenbaum @JohanLarsson It's nothing too serious at this point, it just peeked my interest in RoR knowing there actually are companies around using it. I am kind of interested in 'different ways of doing things', so if I do get an opportunity like that in the feature I am set on taking it :)
@RoelvanUden If you're a student and want to learn something new, I wouldn't go with Ruby. I'd go with something that would expand your horizons a bit more :) I'd recommend Scala (saves my life when I have to work with the JVM) but since you're .NET oriented - I suggest F#
@KendallFrey It means good features like async/await often make it to F# before they make it to C# because Microsoft test a lot more with F# because it's not their star language.
@ton.yeung That's the problem. In that regards selling the PC as a whole might have been the way to go. PSU is 450 watts, and people may want higher. DVD ROM is replaced by steam and valve. So I am truly fucked.

@ton.yeung Yeah, that is assuming that the built in surge protector in the PSU damages any of the other components. But you have that risk with any Power Supply you buy.

@ton.yeung It is indeed possible. They are designed to work in any case; but how can you say a new power supply will perform better then an old power supply under the same electrical surge. You can't.

when and if they do fail it is normally due to a surge (which it is designed to fail vs crapping out the rest of your connected hardware) or a physical defect in the psu which causes a short or an over heat
@ton.yeung However, if you now have two of these large magnetic fields hitting each other like in a power supply. This constant influx of polarity creates wattage.
