Got to use cmd in fread for the first time. So funny to me for some reason. fread(cmd = sprintf("zcat %s", y))

@RomanLuštrik is this the workaround not to unzip fully?

I don't need to unzip the file, just import its contents.

There is an equivalent base approach, but I opted for data.table because I'm Reduce-merging a few 100 files and it's a tad faster.

Did not sleep for more than 1 hour last night...

wife used to fall asleep while drinking triple shot latte...

The killer (as we discovered) was not having continuous sleep. 3 hour uninterrupted sleep is better than 5 hours of sleep with 5 breaks by attending the baby.

Babies breastfeed on 4 hours or so? By that logic, this is just above the "mom went crazy" magic barrier.

ideal world yes, now add ALL other problems that wakes them up... every baby is different of course.
