@CathG I occasionally convert other people's comments to answers, but then I CW my answer.
When SO is really dull, I sometimes dig through the "unanswered" R questions queue and make such conversions, but usually only if the person who asked the question still appears to be active on SO.
@AnandaMahto CW is fine I guess. But posting someone elses content as your own without at least mentioning that person is stealing from my point of view

No but Josh's answer was worth a little more because it really helped me understand a lot of the basics of printing, which lead to explanations of other things
You know, I was putting too much emphasis on learning regex but it turns out that it's really not as important as I thought it was. Definitely great to have those skills, but in both my packages I rarely used regex at all.
@zx8754 It's a good question, imo. I wish we got into principal components a bit more in my undergrad work. We only spent a week or two on it. I'm sure you'll get a good answer there.
@AnandaMahto people like questions they can answer, and there are so many ways to answer this. my take: the questioner is asking for silly things like specific colname patterns when they should be concerned with efficiency if they're doing "11 of these operations every 20 seconds" ... and using matrices, prolly
Well, everyone has to decide whether it's worth striving for whatever is considered a "usual" life. In my opinion one shouldn't worry too much about that
