Maybe something like Resharper will throw a quick comment.

Yeah, in VS even with Resharper using default settings, you won't get anything, but as you mentioned, putting the accessibility is a pretty basic thing.

@ErwinOkken Database w/ local cache is a viable option (and robust). CDN is a viable option. If you must put it under IIS, ensure you don't run in a farm and then put it under non-code folder, and point IIS to serve from it. Also don't ever publish your site w/ delete enabled then.
