i could make up a queue system: the room manger puts incoming chat messages in a queue, a processor acts on those messages and puts it in an outgoing queue, then the room manager take messages in the outgoing queue and puts it back in chat

that is one option

the other is, let messages be sent as they are done, so short commands that take less time to run finish first

i don't know what I should do yet

If you're running on Windows, install cygwin, it gives you a linux terminal.

I used to use GUI-based git tools, but I ditched them all and use the terminal now.

Yeah, but only git, which makes it difficult to navigate and do git, you would have to open the directory in File Explorer, then Ctrl + Right click -> Open terminal here
