@vikas try to avoid in viewDidUnload because after viewDidUnload call the viewWillApear of the second viewControoler will call and if you share any data then it will be null so try to do in dealloc

well then why do you think iOS is going to know how to get the image from an always changing album image metadata key? The only thing it does know about is how audio files in iTunes are saved, and how to retrieve the album artwork data for that.
