I have developed a customized soft keyboard for android. But font is being pulled from system/fonts . I have to push my customized font file renamed as DroidSansFallback.ttf in system/fonts. But I want to pull the font from my project('assests' folder) and want to run with the font across applications. What exactly I should do here. @Raja You have to take care of amount of data downloading and in parallel you have to send message using Messenger class to the main thread where your progressbar is, so that you can update it. And use IntentService for downloading.

And for recieving messages you need to create a handler.
