@Luuklag not sure which question we are discussing anymore, but my impression is that the general-computing close reason should be acceptable even if SF / Unix / Ask Ubuntu / Ask Different etc might superficially be better targets, based on how Meta responds to requests to give more fine-grained control on migration targets and close reasons
Yep, getting close. Soon, I'll be able to delete-vote answers and questions immediately (assuming score <-2). I should have been pushing towards it by answering questions, but I've been coasting along wrt. rep for a while.
@NickA not sure if always latest vote, if review gets 3 leave closed... the aging starts (hence I'm not sure what actually happens if another person votes reopen after 2 days, I would guess the first reopen vote will expire after 2 days)
The prefect case for VLQ flag :D, it probably is an "attempt" to answer, not sure however if there is an answer in it.... I bet LQP queue will delete it and probably most mods...
@Luuklag Other than the typos, it looks OK to me. Unfortunately, every comment feels a bit like a Russian roulette with a variable barrel size. One never knows what will happen next.
Friendly, guiding comments increase the odds of everything going well, but even so the OP might not cooperate.

Yes, you are right @NickA, frustration got the better of me. I mod flagged a post, and hopefully this time it will be helpfull, other then being marked helpfull. And let that be the end of that for today.

@Cœur You want the post that points to the deleted target deleted? That's fine to post a request for that. It's kind of pointless to have a closed Q to a Q you can't visit. We could also reopen it and close it to a different Q if you have a new target to use.
@Vega sometimes a mod does a sweep through the LQP queue and reviews stuff that doesn't need mod powers to delete. also sometimes a mod is lurking here and picks up on things. or, yes, they might have received a red flag.
@Vega anyway since it shows "This answer was marked as spam or rude... ", it had a red flag, but mod decided only to delete it (hence you see deleted by Name)
as far as NAA/VLQ they get autoflags for stuff, like if answer is accepted etc and then if question does not pass through the LQP queue "quick enough" they arrive and clear it...
@PetterFriberg I am not sure to understand, sorry. What are the other possibilities to not see 'deleted by' name. If the mod deletes, we should see the name. But you are certainely saying something else
in general if user have rep, be careful with red flags, try to presume good faith... a mistake etc, mods almost never spam/abusive nuke those. If unreg user red flag what ever you like :D
I'm not sure how. I guess it really depends on the situation and what you are doing with the data. It is public information so it's not like you are accessing anything you shouldn't be.
@E_net4 If you have a script that would target a single user then you can't bring that here, but what you do with it yourself is your business. If you have scripts that try find users that post bad content or subvert the rules then that's okay and you can share that here. IMHO it is how you act on the data where the CoC comes into play. The gathering of the data is fine by itself.
I'm not sure you can overmoderate. You can get to nitpicky but if it legitimate, and you want to put in the time to moderate it, go for. Just don't burn yourself out over it.
@E_net4 There are some bad users who need moderation but the only exception we make to dealing with users is when a mod has identified a potential issue with one and asks us to help investigate
So if you find an issue with a user, I'd mod flag it first. if the mod sees fit to bring it here then so be it
@E_net4 the only time that I have heard that Mods/SE wanted to be careful was when Magish was targeting serial voters, hence even if good queries they asked him to not make them public.

but there are tons of queries about dupe hammers that hammers and answer same question etc... anyway if you are worried, write an email to SE and explain or try to summon the Samurai.

@Luuklag naa it's fine, I often leave in comment a link to revision with answer (hence easy for others and OP to find answer), you can also post a community wiki with the answer (giving credit to OP)
you could also not make it community wiki, but that's to sneaky for my style

you can't really be sure why a user makes it community wiki... hence how do you prove that's the reason.. etc... Shog basic point is that you can do it when you like, since it's your answer.
@E_net4 tons of bots running with those kind of queries, I would not bother to manually go and seek those.
@E_net4 The no-longer need flagging is more a bot exercise then anything else seeking them out on SEDE and manually flag is useless and some mods even dislike it... I remember a meta where mods started to decline flags from a user that used SEDE.... (They will probably not do it again... but yeah)
Hey folks, there's this question that's one of the top google results for "python split string" or similar search phrases, and it's quite a mess - the OP wants to parse a csv file without using the csv module from the standard library, but the answers only show how to split a string on commas. Overall I think the question is pretty worthless, if not harmful. We need 2 more close votes to be able to delete it.
@NickA It has wasted the time of 36k people though. And we have better questions about splitting strings and parsing csv files. Don't see a reason to keep it around.
Any Q can be deleted after being closed for 48 hours. It's just a matter of how many votes are required. 3 is the minimum and I think 10 is the maximum needed.
Seriously though, would any tears be shed if it were deleted? Pretty much every other google result is more useful than that question. As far as I'm concerned, it's - at best - a wasted click.
@PetterFriberg Wow, that's was to strict. You wouldn't red flag it either. I saw rejects for more deserving posts (this one was an abusive case, I guess)
@NickA I would probably have rejected that... tags serve for search index also and since problem with a command executing regex well the tag seems relevant... if you don't have 5 other tags that are better.
I know that the people following regex don't want to see the question, but that's another issue according to me
