These quite often contain malicious code, too. So, a blacklisting might be in order. =)

There are only 17 left for this tag that are not closed, and they are all off-topic/opinion based. I'm planning to create a new request on meta for removing this tag after those questions will be closed.

@halfer It's an age-old question with no MCVE. There's no point in making an edit that will bump it. The edit itself is useful, agreed. Just not making the edit.

I might be harsh. I dunno.

I think front-page bumpings aren't much of a big deal, to be honest. I've edited 30K posts and have probably had one or two complaints about edits on something that someone found too old. I can live with that :-)

I've raised a flag to add [status-complete] to this question (https://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/303672/set-fire-to-the-3rd-party), since it is a duplicate of completed request.
I did that to prevent it from popping up in a list of incomplete requests.

@VadimKotov it is easy to exclude such incomplete requests by adding duplicate:no to your search. So, yes, the mod declined your request for the right reason. Is is not needed.

@rene the reason why I am asking is that previously this type of flags was accepted by mods. Duplicates were marked as [status-complete] as well. maybe this is a bit vague even for mods..

@VadimKotov well, either be a bit more descriptive then in your flag or raise it on meta to flesh out the policy. I personally wouldn't flag dupes to be status-completed but that is just my opinion.

@rene oh, just checked, looks like I was wrong. Actually these duplicate questions were merged, and my flag was accepted as helpful. So you are right

@VadimKotov, it was suggested yesterday. Thank you. However I am not keen to add another plugin to my long-suffering browser, it is too slow as it is! I will add it after a forthcoming rebuild though.
