I used to participate on an IRC channel where I gamed the bot into thinking I was very helpful. I have also tried to find the people I've helped in SO chat, and the incidents I was thinking of were difficult to find...

@Braiam I'm always a bit confused by those ffmpeg questions. Personally I think they are not related to programming and should go maybe on SU. oth that tool seem extremely complex so it might need a dev to work out all its quirks...
I actually discovered it from meta.stackoverflow.com/q/316817/792066, and it attracted closure flags, and given that the most outstanding edits comes from two moderators from SU...
@user1803551 maybe in 30 min or so I have a large block of cv2 to look at. You guys shoved java way back to cv2 pretty much. But that block is kinda frozen. If you have time to pepper 10 or so
@BhargavRao: I agree that this question needed closing, but I wouldn't call it a typo as such, just a newbie error. I was looking for a dupe target, but without success.
@BhargavRao I'm pretty sure plenty of other newbies have made / will make that exact same error, so that question could be helpful. My usual Google skills failed to come up with a decent match, although there are plenty for a similar error caused by shadowing str. Maybe we can use that one as the canonical?
@BhargavRao Fair enough. I think that zondo's answer is ok. After all, it's a pretty basic question. But I guess a good canonical would go into more detail.
