So as much as I'd like to do a good production for the talks at the conference, I think I'm going to not worry much about modifying the venue, and instead just focus on sound.

Who wants to look at us, anyway. :-) It's mostly the slides, and audible comprehensible sound. So we'll accept the venue as-is, though that means we'll probably not be dimming the lights, the slides will be shown on the projector with full brightness.

I'm going to relax on trying to correct those factors and instead be focusing on the content of the talks.

At the Clojure meetup, the projector worked in a fully bright environment. The technology for this stuff has gotten better, the old rules don't totally apply.
