@JoelPurra the base concept is that user should decide by its own how to navigate, if opening a new tab/window or continuing in the same client

unless of course you have a particular dialog that requires a popup, like a modal window. in that case you're allowed to use window.open, but target="" is considered deprecated

@Wes people are the way they are based on experiences and their environment. Maybe he was abused as a child, beat up at school, or whatever and he uses the internet as a way to vent his anger by taking it out on others verbally. I try not to judge people's behavior because there is always a story behind why someone is who they are.
