how can I create a custom datasource for a custom uitableView?

my problem here is that I'm creating a class for searchController, and from there I delegate and datasource the uitableView

what I need to do is to be be able to call cellForRow from the parentVC so that I can make it as dynamic as possible

I need to create custom UITableView class also? and change its delegates and datasource to the way I need?
