Hiya, y'all! In addition to the standard messages above, I wanted to say welcome and mention why I've opened the room a bit early and why there's a (and possibly in the future multiple) ROs. We don't generally appoint ROs in election rooms, leaving CMs and site mods to handle the work. This is usually plenty of moderation for an election but, with the number of CMs reduced and many of the mods busy, we wanted to make sure there was a little extra coverage in this space.

Additionally, I think we all agree this election may be a complicated and difficult one and, while I hope things will still stay civil, I'd like to over plan by inviting people I trust as good chat mods to help, in the minimal way that ROs can. As an added note, to avoid seeming favoritism, the one rule of RO-ship in here is that you can't be planning to nominate in the election.
