Succeeded in also getting rid of the Simplify step now, by actively eliding SubExpressions in make_<>, so this does seem to have merit.

Profiling validated the results.

So, pushed everything, the move-semantics branch has the patch that won't land (no gain). And the parser-statistics has the different rule instrumentations that were used to spot the last optimizations.
