Uhhhh. Does anyone one know how I was pingable here? I fully received a notification but I didn't comment or edit the post.

I did VTC, but I thought when there were 5 voters individuals weren't pingable.

yup, I wonder if your close vote fell under the "Any user who has a visible (non-deleted) comment on the post." rule due to a race condition

Well that comment is from 18 minutes ago and the question was closed 14 minutes ago. So it would've been up for 4 minutes if that's the case. I didn't even consider that a comment would've been posted in my name.

Grr. People commonly ask about how to convert iteration to recursion (for homework reasons), but search (both the site search and external search) overwhelmingly prefers to show explanations of converting recursion to iteration, even if you go out of your way to try to prevent that.
