Say this situation happens again with @JohanLarsson. If I bin his messages, he keeps cool and life continues unobstructed. Say he does it again, well then maybe a temporary ban is appropriate.

if you're concerned your boss will think less of stack overflow/of you because he sees people swearing, it's not because a bunch of users say that the f word is not offensive that it won't get you in trouble

@Billder give SO your image re-size script so only thumbnails are shown in chat. Then everyone has the choice to actively click and view. This would disturb the chat less as well

I'm trying to figure out what "No Posting NSFW Content" means, and how it/the other rules should be enforced.

So let's say my entire team decided to go onto Chat.SO.Com and someone was swearing like a little kid who just found a new swear word, that could ban the entire SO domain for a day while our IT guys figure out why it got banned.

Which would suck for a company 76,000 strong. So I'm one for keeping the text Safe for work

flagging is a tool everyone can use, so it should be preferable to binning.
