@Esailija Yes but there's no mention anywhere in the whole thing of MySQLi or PDO or prepared statements, just a note that says "this code is insecure, go learn about SQLI when you're comfortable with this" would be an infinite improvement.

but the code would be just as secure with mysql extension if it had used mysql_real_escape_string, then again it would be secure and more accessible with PDO if PDO didn't have such awkward API
