Sorry, I was in the middle of something so couldn't give a real answer. To keep it short: Collab with node shouldn't be a problem, but my take from Go was that it's definitely an interesting language with some great ideas (gofmt as a standard is amazing, CSP is amazing, goroutines are amazing).
Having said that, a lot of the language, especially everything type and error related, seems half thought out. Like I feel that a lot of the code that I wrote was boilerplate because the type system was on the one hand very restrictive that I couldn't express what I want, and on the other hand very l…

So I was both impressed with Go and disappointed. They got a lot of things right, but those were the things they "stole" from previous iterations: I feel like the things they tried to bring to the table are just not good enough.

I wouldn't use it as a C alternative since it's got a GC (and if I use C I probably want my own mem management), I also wouldn't use it for networking because I've got python/node/perl/ruby which don't have a weird type system

So given a project I don't think I'll choose it as the go-to tool. Maybe if I needed a static binary for my arch (oh yeah you can't cross compile wtf?). Maybe.

oh yeah, I completely forgot! Package management sucks

Go's type system is better than Java's, but that's not hard to do. Java doesn't have a real type system

Java type system does the equivalent of string comparison on the type names and lets you change the strings, and sometimes it doesn't get the strings right. I really don't like Java.

@Alesana CORS is not an http error. If you get 405 it's most likely an error in coding or server config.

@Alesana No modern browsers let you ajax outside the current folder, but non-Chrome allows you to accces subfolders. But please forget it. I forgot you are using php; this restriction only applies to file protocol.

Double check the full url if the ajax request, just to be safe. You can do that with developer tools's network monitor.

My function was, by default, sending an empty object, making it a POST request. I guess it didn't like POST requests to HTML pages.

@littlepootis Exactly. I googled that and the results advise command line. I can suggest SmartSVN which I know support Linux, and all IDE has Git integration, and I am sure there are alternatives, but that's quite a typical Linux troubleshooting experience.

@jacobian I use it. Always. On windows. But even with tortoiseGit you can't do every git commands. Creating an orphan branch is one of them that you must do on command line for example.

As for the quote itself, sorry I am not sure how you can learn the quoting system other than reading the spec.
The selector is part of "CSS Selectors Level 4", section 6.1, which state that you can match the attribute against an "identifier" or a string.
You are using a string, which is defined in CSS 2.1 section 4.3.7. It explains how to escape quotes and line breaks, as well as how to format long string in multi-lines.
