yes, i removed Log.d from my code but i used them inside onCreate (wchich i removed later too) and in onCreateInputView and i did not see anything on the logcat, did you run my code? are 3 items visible?

so maybe Log.d is not working with InputMethodService because of security reasons or something?

Log.d should work with InputMethodService, I have Log statements in my code that work fine.
I'll check out your code tomorrow - it's 2am where I live
