gut feeling would tell me it would be slower in windowed because it has to do more work

whether the game has an exclusive lock on the GPU or whether it passes frames to the desktop render codec

My TVs are higher end Samsung and LG ones with game modes and both are flawless IME

I always use my SNES + CRT and take video

it was for the in-game calibration, I guess they put a mic and a photoresistor in the controller

you have to hold it up until it picks up the first few chirps/flashes, then it goes for a bit and gives you a "ms behind" number

freesync makes the most difference in the 45-55 range, imo

so if you're dipping into 20fps and up to 40fps constantly, it makes it crazy smooth

nvidia hovers around the 30% perf improvement whereas crossfire is like 50% or a tad more iirc

so Z supports faster memory, but not 3.1, or something like that

they bought the PPU card company, then removed all the AMD driver support, compiled it to x87 or their drivers (to intentionally slow it down)

they are just pricey af now

Linus did a pre review on it, said it's kind of shitty

and then a few years later they followed up with the driver "tweaks" that would turn of PhysX if you had AMD drivers installed
