Hi. I have built a chat app. Whenever there is a new message the scrollbar doesnt go to the new message. I tried using jquery's scrollTop but when there is more text than the height of the page, the scroller doesnt move to the bottom

I might be misunderstanding, but if you look at the recent spec

> For zero lengths the unit identifier is optional (i.e. can be syntactically represented as the <number> 0). However, if a 0 could be parsed as either a <number> or a <length> in a property (such as line-height), it must parse as a <number>.

so it doesn't matter if 'width' defines it because 'width' defines <length> and zero length is well defined.
