@Abhishek Easier, also it makes more sense since the game engine should be running the game and not just be a library. In addition, having no asynchronous stuff here should make things easier for traditional game programming
@FlorianMargaine I know of enums, but "state" isn't meant like in a state machine (e.g. "walking", "idle"), it hold all kinds of other variables and stuff here
the cursor thing is not of mine though, but from allegro itself so I have no control over the whole values. Main problem is, I'm exposing the values as constants into JavaScript land and therefore I only get integers back later

hey, quick question. I'm trying to create a page loading progress bar and I'm looking for events to trigger the increase of "percent" My idea is to just increase the percent when even events trigger. So far I can think of 2 (document).ready() ~ 0% and (window).load() ~ 100% Is there a better way of making a progress bar?

There is no doubt that Knockout.js is a very useful tool, which will save you from a lot of Javascript(Jquery) binding hassle, which will reduce your team's bug ratio concerning this part.
But unfortunately, its Javascript part gets ugly sooner than you can imagine, the resulting unreadable code...

I think I understand what you're saying. It's a CMS which works contains widgets written in JSP. So I just place widgets, in parts of the page. And loading <head> and calling the CSS, these are done all from one single file.

You want the typeof operator. Specifically:
if (typeof variable === 'undefined') {

}
