@PeterHaddad dunno how many answers a day. Depends. Between 3 and 10 I guess. When I get the repcap I usually stop (that's my limit) so if some answer is lucky enough to garner 10 upvotes, the day is shorter :)

Typically if there is an Indian candidate, they will climb very quickly each day during the Indian 9 to 5

but there isn't any indian candidate I know of.

Absolutely... downvotes are how we tell users that an answer is incorrect.

downvotes tell viewers that an answer is not correct or is not a good way to do things

Talking about questions that get downvoted.

downvotes on questions indicate a low quality question or a question where no research was done

e.g. 'effort lacking'

So even worse when downvoting a question without a comment. ;)

Unless you are a user with 10,000+ reputation who gets serially downvoted all the time, people are probably downvoting your questions for a reason. While an explanatory comment would help there, there's also the existing tooltip when you hover over the icons that tell you more or less what they are for
