If one dose is fucked up, the entire vaccine will be labeled by people as problematic and nobody will get it

when there is such a shortage and people die, we look for alternatives in approvisionment and we adapt the supply chains and reinforce local manufacturing capabilities

I am not an expert but if the experts don't think the Indian factories are qualified to produce a vaccine I trust them.

With all due respect, India isn't a 1st world country. Which usually means their hospital/health stuff probably isn't as good as a 1st world country. But that shouldn't disquilifiy them, they just need to get approval.

i think the hysteria that India is going through is on the opposite side of the skepticism hysteria you're referring to, they're desperate at this point, I don't think they can afford the luxury of being skeptical (I understand the points about safety etc... but this could as well be handled by the local authorities like they do for all the exported pharma products they produce)
