I'm trying to emulate google maps layout, but I'm having troubles in putting the images properly inside the recyclerview

They should completely fill the recyclerview in height, instead the width is ok, no limits

Yeah it's not nice to see

Try to use imageView.setScaleType(ScaleType.FIT_CENTER);

It's streched in height

Well the idea is actually to crop the center of the image. What you would do is the calculate the width and height of the imageview inside the recyclerview. Then take those measurements and crop the actual image from the center.
That's how google maps does it

Q: How can I crop the live feed from the camera on each frame on Android?

I have the video preview from the camera which I want to crop. But the cropping window is changing frame by frame (size and position of the cropping window). How could I achieve this on Android (flutter, kotlin, java, nativescript,.. doesn't matter) to be able to show the live cropping result...

Frankly going to cuba can be cumbersome

the travel is extremely costly

Ah. I used some web framework a long time ago that had "databinding". I'm not sure if its the same thing, but I think its a concept that died out really quickly.
