Well in iOS its a weird automatic thing where it asks if you want it to run in the background when it moves to the background, but I'm not sure if there's a reasonable way to replicate that in Android. (or if its even desirable)

i know its kinda hard to deal with location stuff in the repo since it requieres a lot of Activity/Fragment context stuff

On a side-note. As much as I think iPhones are overpriced nonsense, Macs are definitely my preferred dev machines.

I identify as a dev that has used windows, linux, and mac and finds that macs have caused me the fewest headaches.

also thermals and i5 with 8 gigs of ram for ~1500+euros is ridiculous

@IvanMilisavljevic If you are using desktop keyboard switch the command key to control in system preferences. I do that. Makes life so much easier.

System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Tab > Modifier Keys
