I was given the option to skip it, but Linear Algebra and calc are the same course here, and I don't trust myself to nail calc and skip straight to the next class after not really studying for almost 2 years

Stuff is weird here, though

After transferring my US credits (for intro to programming, computer organization, and data structures) I was told I can skip... Embedded Systems and Algorithms

But that I still have to do both the intro courses and data structures

No one here in the department understands why they did that, trying to get it changed now so I can skip both the intro courses, and just effectively start from a second year set of classes

My tip for University: Do all the modules you find easiest / will score highest in. Doesn't matter if you don't do something which will benefit your career, getting a shitty score will not benefit your career.
