@CptEric Yeah, that was 99% of my problem, and not knowing where to look. I've noticed people in other apps launching intents and things to do things like add custom actions for steering wheel keys
Those are byte characters which can not be represented as string characters. Most of the time they are control flags
Don't use new String to generate utf 8 characters for that. Instead take the byte[] result from the cipher and convert that to a hex string representation
