I think @SudeepSR need to do the phone in background and you want to do some other stuff on the screen like record and other

and when call movetaskToBack and play your video

when starting a new activity if you don't stop listening it continues to go

nope. under good conditions you can make it in less than 5 minutes

but it was snowing that hard what you could hardly see the road :D

in each layout I have controls

I make a toast

throw them away and run

I want to position the toast on top|right of a control

CharSequence text ="SOME TXT"

Toast toast = Toast.makeText(ctx, text, duration);
toast.setGravity(Gravity.TOP|Gravity.RIGHT, 0, myMapView.getTop());
toast.show();

@Alin it is not really necessary to define a new integer to assign it a constant value

just use that constant value where you need it ;)
