and when trying to get its contents as inputStream.im getting a "java.io.IOException: Unable to connect to server: Permission denied (maybe missing INTERNET permission)"

i've tried adding the INTERNET permission without luck.. :(

@Aji also the file uri you've posted above is correct for devices lower than sdk version 5 afaik as from 5 on the mount point for the sdcard is /mnt/sdcard
