Why do I get this error: Required type: Iterable, Provided: ArrayList? Isn't ArrayList iterable, so shouldn't we be able to return it?

What is the code that produces that error?

what happens if you change it to

private java.util.ArrayList<String> teams;

then there probably is a problem with your JDK

as in... your project doesnt have a JDK linked

although the second message would be much more useful

IDE should be able to tell that as well

but IDE has different settings than javac, so they might say conflicting things

at least for IJ
