I'm bored to death. I went to sign my new contract this morning (turns out my benefits are much better that what I thought they would be) and I have done a bit of work today, but I didn't have much to do
also, I'm alone in the office, which is pretty cool. I am blasting music through my speakers :D
apparently here in APac, there are three main levels: one is between graduate and mid-level, another one is senior, and the next one is VP, which is anything like tech lead, team lead, group lead....
outside of Apac and the big banks, it means nothing. It's also very annoying, as name cards don't state people's job, just people's rank. I've been in meetings where everyone was VP, so I didn't know what they did or whether they were technical or not

Before getting this error I have also received com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure when trying to connect to a remote database
I have deployed my project in tomcat7 web server and I am trying to connect with a remote MySQL5.1 database
Connection to the database is not a failure all the time. This happens once a week. So, IP and credentials of the database are not wrong
And since this is not happening all the time, I think it is not a memory leak problem. But I have no idea why Communications link failure exception is thrown
@ItachiUchiha How can i know the root cause for this issue?
@ItachiUchiha And one more thing, which profiler would you suggest me to analyse memory leaks? I have to use it in the production environment and it would be good if it is available at free of cost ;)
Is using environment variables the "right thing to do" to store sensitive data such as database password in spring boot? I'm using environment variables, and accessing them in application.yml as such -> ${xyz}

Eclipse works fine for me when I try to read an xml-properties file. However, the generated jar file does not work. Everyone on stackoverflow gave the same solutions and many say it does not work for them, does anyone know why this (from stackoverflow) does not work from a jar but works in Eclipse: Properties properties = new Properties(); Thread currentThread = Thread.currentThread(); ClassLoader contextClassLoader = currentThread.getContextClassLoader(); InputStream propertiesStream = contextClassLoader.getResourceAsStream("app.properties");
