so the old answers to old questions (the bad ones) they'll never get a cleaning.. doesn't make much sense to me , but I might missing something since I've been away of SO's moderation process for awhile

@dippas it's not a new thing. Natty is for the NATO tool and NATO is about answers that were posted at least 30 days after the question.

Nothing stops you from flagging posts you find as NAA. There's no point flagging NAA multiple times, so there's no net win from you telling others about NAA, is there?

Think of it like this: there's this old garbage dump, and a few people have cleared a smaller area where the trash was categorized and the old trash was trampled down to a dense foundation. Obviously we'd want all the dump to be cleaned and recycled one day, but until that happens it's much easier to handle each new truckful of garbage as it comes in, and worry about the rest of the old garbage independently.

@dippas Natty follows the 10k NATO page, it scan and s trained for those type of answers. For example new questions has edits posted as answers... it does not look for this. Overall this is a bot dev decision and naturally then in feed we want only stuff that it scans.. you can flag what you want, but we should not add an edit in answer to feed.

I hope it makes sense, but yeah the bot is limited to these type of answers and as a consequence only accepts these in feed

it would be interesting to have a bot that crawls answers and tries finding NAA, but I suspect something like that would have such a throughput that it'd need a dedicated room...and mods might not keep up
