@Crell I guess records wouldn't normally carry dependencies like loggers etc. You'd probably pass around a container instead, together with it.

I was thinking if it should be considered a best practice to not mix different types of properties within a single class (both shared resources and internal possibly mutable state), but basically all classes could at some point need to inject a logger, so.

I just learned about ZEND_DONT_UNLOAD_MODULES. I can see that it is present in run-tests.php and looks like it is mean to be used for valgrind tests, but it doesn't seem to be. Presumably that is an oversight?

@Danack I added that like 15 years ago :-). It's meant to be able to show all stack frames indeed with valgrind. But it's not for detecting leaks, but rather for not losing stack frame information.
