When using disable_functions in php.ini does it also disable aliases of the function? So say I disabled show_source() would/should it also disable highlight_file() and vice versa?

That's the name of the C library function it's wrapping.

yes - and I still haven't had time (aka been arsed) to look at github.com/FriendsOfPHP/pickle

if php-fpm can be marginally aware of the applications it's serving, it could fork itself for different applications and load in those modules on a per-child/per-app basis

and since safe mode is gone, it's not really that much more risky than running arbitrary php code on each access.

cough if you're still on PHP 5.6, you might want to double check that you never have Imagick loaded twice......apparently that can cause random crashes..

once through /etc/php.ini and once through the fpm pool config.

My laravel 5 app won't work properly if I access it from `localhost/laravel-project/public`. But, if I set the project to `localhost` then it works perfectly.

How do they usually implement these inline relations like @mentions & #tags? Is the post parsed on created/updated, or is it done somehow dynamically? Maybe someone has some experience with this? Interested in user mentions & tagging internally in the project..

The other is a monster with GTX 970, although admittedly I haven't tried messing with the linux there

GTX970 is not a monster, it's a mid-range GPU

although, setting up an nvidia-based linux machine is easier
