I went through the metal detectors, and the backpack too. Then I got pulled aside for them to use the hand metal detector. And then I had to go into a side room to get my backpack and open it and show the contents to the people there. Then closed everything and they wished me a nice flight.

And that was the only time so far that there was anything remotely close to them finding anything. I have always boarded planes with scissors since, and I just go through the metal detectors without a hitch.
