I have a question about vim; so it seems I can't copy more lines than there are in my visible terminal window. EG, I do 150Y and it only takes 50. How can i change this?

@Colandus try bit moving it's much better than bit shifting. get some movers and ask them to help you move bit by bit :3

@Colandus Think of it in base 10. (10<<4) | (12<<2) gives you 101200. Doing >>4 on that gives you 10 back. But doing >>2 on that gives you 1012 back. You have to "mask" it with &FF to get only the bottom "digits".
