@Sklivvz you know absolutely nothing about me, who I am or what I am doing in the "real world", Dimension10 is too young to be an academic (he is only 14 years old, which is easily confirmed when you listen to him explaining physics equations in his Youtube videos), and Ron has a degree in physics and was offerd a PhD position about a topic which he proved himself wrong by mathematical and theoretical considerations (something related to extra-dimensional model building, which is by now disproved experimentally too). like today I knew what I wanted to do but it was so complex that I couldn't really narrow it down to a single search... asked someone and they told me it'd be the python requests library, good from there
Which, granted, many people including myself are lazy.
But the response did not make me less lazy.
Perhaps it is like networking.
You try to accept as much as you can, and not take offense.
And in the same way, try to make what you say as non-offensive as possible, unless of course you do go around calling names all day, hoping for damage.
@LucDanton That does sounds strange, at least at first blush. The only thing I can think of is that (at least here in the US) many kindergartens close relatively early (like their school day runs only from 0800 to noon, or something like that). If they do many deliveries in the afternoon, I can see where that could require an extra day.

@JerryCoffin Yup, they don't so much ship their stuff as they deliver it themselves, which I didn't expect at first. (Incidentally they don't exactly come around here.) The extra funny bit is that I was ordering beer -- I did figure out eventually that they sell other stuff, too.

I'm going to assume my package doesnt have the tracking option because its been telling me it's in NJ since Oct 26th (that or the shipping company sucks ballz)
@LucDanton At a guess, it's a less a matter of somebody deciding they suck, and more a matter of seeing they're making money (and thinking "Hey, even I could do that!)
It's also occuring to me that the surprising bit isn't so much that there are local delivery services with an online presence, but more that I can't seem to Google-fu my way out of those :(
@Crowz Depends on the school and prof. At Stanford, it appears that simply learning to mumble things like "RISC Rocks!", and "MIPS was the best" is sufficient. Other places have slightly different biases though.
@User17 I've found that quite a few tests "leak" enough information that studying isn't necessary at all. I successfully tested out of a couple of classes without knowing anything about the subject matter when I started the test.
@JerryCoffin also in the top 10%-20% of the classess when I was on exchange to the university of california, although half of the time I was partying with flatmates, their friends or the guy I was dating at the time. I used speed for exams (so I can study 20 hours a day when needed).
I still remember how to do it: crash the ice like crystal with ATM card, chop it up then crash it again. Repeat the process until it is in powder form. Use the card to put it in a line then roll your $1 note into a pipe and snort it.
But that's the only period when I used illegal drugs, have not touch it since
Some of my uni friends here also shared marijuana pipes. I wasn't into it.
Actually I received more random cash/gifts than I mentioned above -A$500 from my aunty (to help fixing my teeth), US$200-$300 from another aunty, A$1000 from my grandpa (he doesn't what to do with his cash), a bag from my aunty & uncle here (full price $495) .. $150-$200 somewhere else. All in the same month.
