Simply put, you don't gesture for a girl's hand unless she offers it first. That's some old school chivalry stuff that apparently that doesn't sit well with these modern men in here who are all 'equal rights'.

I perfectly understand what you're saying. But even after all tests and restrictions are passed, the soldier (the female) is assigned to some company. Now chances are, that "she" still is one of the weakest if not the weakest amongst all comrades.
