@CharlesSprayberry It takes a certain amount of brain power to do things correctly. You need to be cautious and careful with what you do (especially on huge projects). Even the slightest thing (a comma where it shouldn't be?) could destroy everything.

Intelligent mind wins in this field and so does in medicine.

But if you know me, you also know that I'm a 19 year-old guy with a 12 year-olds mind who likes fart jokes and even when working with serious stuff, still makes fart jokes instead of discussing specifics regarding that "serious" stuff. So, I'd obviously add some spice into the boring doctor bullshit.

I understand ... I dealt with the same issue. I've essentially reworked my controllers so that they are injected with the exact domain model objects (data mappers, actually) and templating objects (when needed) in their constructors

The only time I'm okay with injecting the Provider into other classes is when the Provider is a composition element for a class that needs to instantiate a class it doesn't yet know about. A top-level routing class, for example. In Artax, the whole point of the Router is to instantiate one of an infinite set of possible controller classes.

@tereško I felt like building that sort of access control into the Router makes the router class too narrow for easy re-usability: not all of my applications require it. Instead, the controller is injected with the Request object upon instantiation and builds the appropriate response based on the access credentials therein.

@rdlowrey your router is responsible for mapping the request URI and checking if controller exists and checking if methods on controller exist and the executing methods on the controller and passing along the output of said methods you have executed

Are there any best practices for object mapping in PHP?

Let's say I get stdClass objects from a source or push it into something else, but within my code I'd like to use concrete types.
