Yeah, me too. I am trying to exercise patience, since I think it is a cultural feature of Indian English, and to an Indian English speaker it sounds polite and respectful. Unfortunately to British English ears, it sounds obsequious, so mostly I try not to downvote :-)

I draw the line at "urgent, help ASAP" though!

Trying to get upvotes by writing out long detailed answers in minor tags is like pulling teeth. If I'm ever going to hit 10k, I think I need to start answering NPE dupes.

@Yvette The question is basically "How does X work in Windows?", and I happen to know MSFT doesn't make that kind of implementation data available. It may be answerable by observation and reverse engineering, and somebody here may have even done it, but there can be no "official" answer from SO.
