If I have an attribute in XML that doesn't apply at a certain version level, will it crash or be ignored?

for example, android:backgroundTint is on API 21+, so if someone using API 19 or whatever runs my app, will it crash, or will backgroundTint just be ignored?

Q: How can I get rid of the tiny fish-bone stuck in my throat upon eating fish?

Q: Sunburn Soothing and Removing Tips and Tricks?

Obviously you can't simply remove a sunburn, that'd be nice. I am just wondering if anyone knows any tips or tricks to soothe it and/or make it go away faster? Other than obvious things like lotion, sunscreen, and pain medicine.

so the cool news is this building has a couple chromecasts, and since I have a nexus 6 I can cast my phone screen, so we're gonna plug into the big screen and present our app that way so all can see it and I don't have to use an emulator

well we actually finished our app in under 12 hours, now we've just been prettying it up and adding some extra features.

It doesn't do a whole lot, but we spent a couple hours straightening out the JSON parsing because it was new to us, but not bad though.

this is a big PITA (if using Java — Scala has traits which can reduce the pain from this, because they allow to do something like multiple inheritance)
