I don't think that would make any difference, as you're still lacking your raw data. To do this programmatically you'd have to teach a computer to understand what a black dot looks like, then have it search your image for them, get their pixel position, and work out the axis-value relative to the pixel positions of your x- and y-axis. @poke If you use the transition function of a automata to generate a transition state table, there is that delta function that defines the movements, same with the PDA... but the turing machine seems to have a very different way it handles this.
