Because I'm not about to try and convert my work apps from Eclipse to AS yet. And I use AS at home so I can get accustomed to it before switching completely

When I started working on Android I had the mission to revamp our app and level it with our iOS app. It was originally coded on Eclispe. Instead, I installed AS and coded everything from scratch. Totally worth it

I prefer AS because it is a lot easier to manage multple versions of the same app (e.g. paid vs free)

I create a custom "action bar" and extend a BaseActivity for my click events in the action bar. I've been thinking about switching it to a fragment but it seems that the way I'm doing it is probably easier -.-

I have an Activity that handles the clicks on the icons in the ActionBar

it doesn't go to a fragment

the Activity swaps out fragments though when you click those icons
