@QPaysTaxes Yeah, I remembered today with about 8 minutes and ~35 votes today. Blew through them on more "looking for a X" questions (example: "looking for a module"). Doing reviews would probably be better, but such searches are very quick (targeted on a very simple, usually clear-cut, off-topic reason).

@QPaysTaxes I want to have a decent number of CVs available through the day. Sometimes I organically use all of them, usually not. If there was a way to specify a dup-target for other people to see in the close➞duplicate popup, other than using a CV to vote, I would be more willing to use up all my CVs earlier in the day. I have no problem with having used them all organically, but for just blowing through them, I'd rather wait until the end of the UTC day.

@QPaysTaxes I don't like IDEs. I use konqueror (browser/SVN), kwrite (editor) and a console. Scons for building, the rest is bash scripts/Python.

YYMV, but I still have to see people with IDE developing faster.

But if you ask for an IDE, you might have a look at Code::Blocks.

Quite classical (except for konqueror&kwrite)

I worked witrh some IDEs, e.g. IAR. But they don't allow good automation of the build I need. Especially for IAR, the editor is rubbish, compared to kwrite. Too much mouse interaction required, bad syntax highlighting, etc.

I used it, but SCons is much more powerful, easier to use (and has less flaws requirign re-building). In addition the build-scripts are actually Pthon scripts, so you can use all features of the language and have full access to e.g. dependencies.

Not to mention the much more clear syntax automatic dependency generation, etc..

@QPaysTaxes Naa, emulators are way too expensive. JTAG is sufficient (possibly with a trace-unit). Depends, basically using the debugger. But it actually all depends on the project. I just wrote what I prefer, but I often have to use what the customer wants. (unless I can make him clear there are better ways).
