So the solution to my problem yesterday... was nothing. Today, it works fine. I can only assume that there were too many requests and the host server was banned by the db server.

You learn how the Spirit of Order fused to the very first Avatar earlier in the season. Which was to help her defeat the Spirit of Chaos (Darkness) because she was too weak. Every ten thousand years Light VS Dark (Order VS Chaos) fight, whoever wins controls the earthly realms fate for that duration. As the spirit world and earthly plane are unified.
