Anyone care to help me on a quick question, learning LINQ. I have list of FileData class, with three properties (name, hash, size) if i wanted to put a value for each of those properties, even though the FileData list is empty. I tried FileData.Select(p=>p.name) = "test"; but thats not working ofcourse.

@Dayan, use foreach for this or create/use 3rd party extension method called ForEach and accepts an Action<T>.

@codebrain I really dislike android development. things take sooo much more time to make than say, a windows phone app in c# and even just the syntax of the xml and java apis they have is all screwy

for example, android.R.whatever; = what the hell is R? they have so many random weird things and the character casing is so ... random and unexpected. like they have methods starting in lowercase? but class names start with uppercase? that's just weird

c# is by far the most practical and efficient language

@w128 I wouldn't call GTK# easy. Or cross-platform for that matter. Cross-platform GUI development is a big fat lie, a terrible idea, and if you intent to serve users commercially, make a native look and feel with the respective GUI toolkit for that particular platform.
