yes.. now I am getting all 584 records in onCreate(), whereas, I would like to show first 20 records in onCreate() then using infinite scroll next 10 records on each call

first issue is getting all the records in onCreate()

okay, you mean API is returning all the records ar first, though you need only 20 initially, right?

exactly and after that when I do scroll need to show progress and next 10 records

and so on

As you know I have uploaded code to drive, please download at your end... and share an update with me... its bit urgent

so, are you passing any param in the API to get only first 20 records?

Is that the updated code?

yes download and just put a mAdapter.setItems(gists) into your displayGistList

I like to change from ListView to RecyclerView. I miss the onScroll of the OnScrollListener at RecyclerView to determine that the user scrolled to the end of the list. How do I know that the user scrolls to the end of the list so that I can fetch new data from a Rest Service.

You have to store last selected position into shared-Preference and when app restart then pass that appropriate stored position to your spinner, and keep updating SP while changing position into spinner.
