@JonathanSampson I'm really impressed by how serious Microsoft takes the project. I truly hope that you'd be able to shake off that "IE is crap" thought that everyone got so used to have.

@Algorath We do warn you of malformed markup and more in the console output. I'm personally advocating for a super-strict development mode that refuses to even render your site (during development) if there are any validation errors :)

okay, so I am having a stupid simple problem, but I haven't been able to figure it out. So, I made a simple fiddle so I can work out an issue I'm having. jsfiddle.net/qyv381xd the developer tools in chrome are telling me that my javascript function isn't defined... I just can't see why it's not being picked up.

@SecondRikudo There are still a lot of burned people out there (I was one of them), but we find that being open, honest, and transparent is doing really well.

it is two parts. 1) you're using silly inline events.

2) you didn't read the jsfiddle docs

@Jenn change the 'onload' to 'nowrap body' and it should work

but consider NOT using inline event stuff. it is harder to read, harder to maintain, there are caveats to it you could burn yourself with later, and overall it is just sloppy to look at.

@Jenn - By default jsfiddle executes javascript inside of an onload callback which is not a global scope. Inline events on your elements attempt to call the function from the wrong scope because they are defined in that callback.
